Can the pens be removed easily from any surface?

The Wet-wipe pens & Illumigraph Pens can be removed easily from any non-porous surface with a damp cloth. The Semi-Permanent & Woodcraft pens are waterproof and are designed to stay on. However, you can still remove them from any non-porus surface with a damp cloth using "Mr Muscle Multitask Cleaner" or our Zig Chalkboard Cleaner which is available to buy from the site. Please note: MDF Boards which have been painted with chalkboard paint may absorb the ink. The pens can stain your board. We recommend you use about 4 coats of chalkboard paint to seal it and use wet-wipe pens rather than semi-permanent.

How do I remove the pens?

We have our own Zig Chalkboard Cleaner available to buy from the site under "Pen Accessories". We also recommend "Mr Muscle Multitask Cleaner" or "Mr Muscle Glass & Window Cleaner". Spray the detergent onto the board and let the ink absorb it for a couple of minutes. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Please note: MDF boards painted with chalkboard paint may absord the ink as the surface is still porous. We recommend you use 3-4 coats of blackboard paint to seal your board before using any pens. The pens can only be removed from non-porous surfaces.

Are the pens non-toxic and safe for children to use?

Yes. The pens are non-toxic, xylene free & odorless! The pens are suitable for children over the age of 3 years.

What surfaces can the pens be used on?

The pens can be used on almost every surface and can be wiped off any non-porous surface! They are used mainly for writing on chalkboards, whiteboards, glass, plastic, mirror, metal, slate, canvas and ceramics. The woodcraft pens can be used instead of paint for touching up woodwork.
